About From the African Streets Volume 2:

Explore 'From the African Streets Vol. 2,' a powerful collection showcasing contemporary African photography from Unpublished Africa Photography Week 2025. This publication captures the essence of the African photo walks held in Angola, Zambia, and Zimbabwe featuring work by 16 of the photographers. The Harare, Luanda, and Lusaka photo walks, led by Tinashe Jakarasi, Namukolo Siyumbwa, and Leonardo Thomas, explored African urban landscapes, historical photography, and documentary photography perspectives. This publication underscores the transformative potential of supporting African creative communities and shaping the African narrative through photography.

This exhibition directly addresses the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
-
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities: By documenting and interpreting the evolving urban landscapes of African cities.
-
SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions: By promoting artistic freedom and supporting visual storytelling as a tool for social awareness.
